When we walk our dog Bosco around the lake and through town, we keep hearing the same concerns from neighbors. People are worried that our easygoing, small-town character is slipping away, and that high density residential developments like Caretta will pop up on recently sold properties. They're frustrated because they love this place. The quiet lifestyle, the sense of community, the feeling that everyone knows each other. They don't want to see it turned into something unrecognizable, and frankly, I don't blame them.

What bothers folks most is being told that our hands are tied by zoning rules, as if the future of our community is entirely out of our control and left to developers to decide. That doesn't sit right with most people, and it shouldn't. We have more say in our town's future than we're being led to believe. Our campaign is about changing that dynamic, bringing back open conversations, plain-spoken explanations, and real communication with the people who call this place home. We all deserve to know what's happening, why it's happening, and how we can be part of shaping what comes next.
